Avatar Pictures - After MCN Update
by Ramus (Official Announcements)There has been an issue with the avatar pictures not showing up after the MCN Server change. At this point in time I cannot get the system to reload the existing avatars. So, unfortunatly EVERYONE will have to reload their avatar.
I have restored a few select avatars, but it would take me forever to do all 200. If you have difficulties changing your avatar or cannot find it on your local PC send me a PM.

The contest started November 1st & end December 31st, 2005. So

Editor Change.. hold on to your hats ;)
by Ramus (Official Announcements)I have installed a new text editor. Nothing major as far as drastic changes.
- Issues with editor being too small on some text areas fixed (PM & Sig for example)
- Insert Picture feature now has the ability to dynamicly size images. When you insert an image over the allowable dimensions use the SIZE feature. The lock ratio keeps the pic in proportion.
- Little cleaner look

Check your Signature Image Size
by Ramus (Official Announcements)I have seen several signatures that violate the maximum signature image size stated in the MCN Rules.
Signature images may be NO larger than 350px wide by 100px tall.
Please check (and correct if necessary) the image size of your signature. Starting tomorrow morning (10/11/05), I will DELETE any signature that violates the size restraints. This warning is a one time deal and will not be stated again in the future.

Recluce's World Travels
by Recluce (Official Announcements)Ok, so its just a small part of the world.... I'll be traveling (on vacation) starting tomorrow, and lasting until the following sunday. I'm going on a Disney cruise and then Disney world for several more days. So, if you have any problems or issues you'll have to go to the other Mods for help.
And yes, Disneyworld does have a LEGO store, and I will be spending copious amounts of money there. Hard to tell what I'm looking forward to more.... the Bahamas or the Lego store. Pitiful, isn't it?
Have fun and behave, and I'll be taking lots of pictures.
Double posted signatures
by Recluce (Official Announcements)Before anyone posts about it.... yes, there is a bug with our signatures that is making them "double post".
Here's what you need to do (at east what I did to fix it). Go in and delete your signature completely. Then, go back in and add in to your profile and add it in. If you're using Internet Explorer you will have a very small window and not be able to see what you're typing, so just keep track of what you've typed. And keep it simple. Then save it and things should be fixed.
Everyone will need to do this. Sorry about the trouble, but, eh, it happens!

New addition to "Ask Redbean and Kaminoan"
by Brickmodder (Official Announcements)I'm proud to announce the addition of myself to the ranks of some of the talented pros here and MCN. I'll be taking questions and helping people with the modification aspect and electrical/electronics of minifig and other LEGO customization. I will also (eventually) be adding some tutorials and other how-to's on how you can recreate some of the things I do.
As you may have noticed, the "Ask Redbean and Kaminoan" section title has a new addition:
"Redbean, Kaminoan, and Brickmodder"
Please use that forum section when asking questions directly. I will do my best to check daily.
A bit of background:
I've been into LEGO for about 30 years and never really had a dark age. I loved constructing and deconstructing all types of toys from an early age and loved tinkering with electronics. I had done a few custom lighted MOCs early on, but I didn't really get big into it until LEGO released the Star Wars minifigs. I had always laughed when I saw LEGO catalogs that showed various sets with the "simulated" lighting effects and thought SOME day I was going to make those lights a reality. Enter: www.brickmodder.net. In just a few very short months of my first minifig customization, I soon was able to make a totally self contained and lighted minifig with an internal battery and ON/OFF switch. You can check out these and other creations at http://www.brickmodder.net/spacemods.html. There are more mods in other areas of the site, but most the minifigs are in this section.
